We need dedicated volunteers!
We are in need of very dedicated volunteers that can commit to a set number of hours either per week or per month. Most of our volunteers are needed for the "behind the scenes" work at the Ark that keep our shelter running smoothly. This could be cleaning cages to unfolding newspapers. It is important to realize that there is a lot of work to be done here everyday and we need help with more than just walking dogs or petting cats. Although that is a great help we also need people that are ready to do some physical work and that we can rely on on a regular basis. Also note, you must be at least 17 to volunteer here. Children under 17 that are interested in helping are encouraged to work on an outside project for the Ark. This could be making cat blankets, collecting donations, or helping spread the word about us. Anyone interested in helping out, please stop down to the Ark and fill out a volunteer application.
